Being an HR department of one isn’t for the faint of heart! Some days you’re a firefighter, some days you’re a coach and in between you’re the sole person responsible for recruiting, training, benefits and more. During this interactive session, we’ll share ideas about how to keep your sanity, while still maintaining a focus on being a strategic partner for your organization.
In this session, we will discuss:

SPEAKER INFORMATION:
Amanda Haddaway is the managing director of HR Answerbox, a boutique HR consultancy focused on helping organizations with their human resources and employee training challenges. After more than 15 years and 30,000 hours in corporate HR services, Amanda created HR Answerbox to solve the people problems that business owners, executives and managers face on a daily basis.
She is a human resources expert who is frequently interviewed and quoted by national media outlets including U.S. News & World Report, CBS Money Watch, Fox Business and Chicago Tribune. Amanda is the author of two books, Destination Real World: Success after Graduation and Interviewer Success: Become a great interviewer in less than one hour.
Amanda previously served as the director of human resources and marketing for Folcomer Equipment Corporation, a multi-state construction equipment dealership, and at SRA International, a Fortune 100 Best Company to Work For.
Amanda holds two senior-level HR certifications, SPHR and SHRM-SCP, a master's degree from the George Washington University and a bachelor's degree from James Madison University.
She serves on several boards including Cocktails for a Cause Maryland (a nonprofit she co-founded), the Maryland Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Frederick County Workforce Development Board.
