Some say that our dress is just an extension of ourselves. Many use dress to express themselves. Many use dress to ensure that all important professional appearance. Dress codes have been coming under attack in recent years as many of us relaxed dress codes during the pandemic. Employees are also wanting to use dress as a way of expressing their views – political, religious, or otherwise. Should employers be concerned? Yes, there are many legal landmines that employers must navigate in enforcing dress codes (including tattoos) in this interesting world in which we live.
